Free Form Fibers was recently granted two patents in the US and Canada for the same technical subject matter, titled “Fiber with Elemental Additives and Method of Making”. The Canada patent (# 3,044,401) was issued in mid-September and the US patent (# 11,788,213 B2) was officially posted in mid-October. The patent subject covers the use of LCVD to form complex chemistry fibers that have a primary composition and a secondary elemental additive that can impact (slow down) the rate of creep deformation in the fiber.
