JEC World 2017

Free Form Fibers was one of ten high technology start-up companies worldwide (one of only two from the US) invited to the JEC World 2017 Conference in Paris. This special group was brought together to highlight some of the most important new technologies of interest to the composites industry.┬áDr. John Schneiter, CEO of Free Form Fibers, gave a presentation about the potential and reality of Laser Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (LCVD) to produce high performance fibers such as silicon carbide, boron, boron carbide, and others to radically improve the performance of next-generation ceramic matrix composites, and to do so with surprising cost effectiveness. Dr. Joseph Pegna, lead co-founder and Chief Scientist of Free Form Fibers was at the conference and remarked that “This is a landmark achievement for Free Form Fibers. We have worked long and hard to scale this technology to produce inorganic fibers of highest purity and performance, and it is an honor to be recognized in this way.”
